Spect CT Completion

Integrating biophilic images in healthcare environments to help ease patients and their anxieties.

we value integrating biophilic design into our healthcare projects - especially in scanning rooms where patients are often confronted with feelings of uneasiness and nervousness. It is known that nature can help with these feelings of anxiety and therefore we like to use images of biophilic environments to help patients cope with the physical constraints of being in a scanner and the emotional uncertainty of the results.

For the new SPECT CT at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust we used earthy tones combined with wood textures and worked closely with the clinical team to select inspiring images of nature. These are all expected to help with reducing stress levels and expedite healing for patients. Not only that, creating this atmosphere will also increase positivity, productivity, clarity of thought and improve the general well-being of all staff, patients and visitors who may be passing though this unit.
