At Floyd Slaski Architects our primary asset is our staff. In the same way that we invest in design details which first greet our building users, it is our staff who provide that friendly and competent face of our service on a day-to-day basis. No matter the scale of project, the importance of our relationships with clients, contractors and consultants cannot be overstated. We understand their varying interests and pressures and as design team leaders we rally commitment to a common goal and aim to make the process enjoyable and rewarding.

Every staff-member’s experience is important to us, and we are a practice constantly enriched by this diversity. As a team we share knowledge and take educational support seriously, organising ourselves to ensure each project is director-led, has competent technical input and keen trainee architects. We enjoy maintaining an ethos of sharing both challenges and successes, of airing our thoughts and encouraging others to follow-suit. Across our staff base we have an impressive cross-sector experience, in this brochure expressed via director’s projects but with scores of others from which to draw.

Our Covid-instigated working flexibility we use to our advantage, such that our staff locations when not in the office provide our clients with an increased reach and availability; our use of Zoom and Teams has become widespread and habitual and also extends to social meetings. When conditions are safe we are likely to prefer a more personable face to face meeting but have grown to balance this with the technology to hand as conditions fluctuate.
