We’re excited to share that Floyd Slaski Architects Ltd has been shortlisted for the Building Better Healthcare Awards in the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 category for our work on the 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲!

Our project reimagined the Paediatric Outpatient Department as a soothing, inclusive space that uplifts the experience for patients, staff, and visitors alike.

Through close collaboration with the clinical team and community stakeholders, we integrated neurodiverse-friendly design elements and playful wayfinding features, like themed animal characters that guide young patients through their hospital journey. This design approach not only improves navigation but also helps reduce anxiety, making healthcare a more positive experience for children.

We’re incredibly proud of the support and feedback we received from the community, especially through our Hospital Open Days and the Career Day at Salesian Secondary School, where we inspired the next generation about the impact of architecture in healthcare.

We look forward to celebrating these achievements in healthcare on 𝟲 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 at 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘆 in 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻, showcasing our commitment to enhancing these essential environments.
