Mews House - Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

This post-war ‘upside-down’ mews house in South Kensington occupies a privileged position among its more established period neighbours. The first priority was to ‘green’ for kerb appeal, then a deep internal refurbishment was undertaken. The main roof to terrace glazing feature was re-detailed, providing a bespoke slender steel frame within which a 19mm edge framed slide and fold system could operate. The single-piece 3.8m high glass stair balustrade is complemented internally with extensive joinery, providing ample storage within a clean and compact floorplan.
